I’m please to announce the following on the case of Um Kayed:
1. Kayed is back to school! After 2 years from dropping out to support his family (he used to make 5JDs/week), Kayed is back to Grade 7 at the UNRWA school.
2. With the help of Ibdaa Association, we managed to secure a garage for the father in Safout. We will cover the rent of the shop and purchase the equipments so he can start running his own business (1,000JDs). This will secure a steady decent income for the family.
We are still short for 2,000JDs to buy the rest of the equipments, please support to complete this project
3. Furniture for the family was secured by a generous donor. When I first visited the family, we sat on the floor, now they have 2 sofas, 2 seats and a table. You can check the old pictures here
The process of empowering the family is not an easy one, but hopefully with the help of local community, we can improve lives.
