Help my pledge to run the Amman Marathon

I lost my dad to Leukemia (Blood cancer) when I was 2 years old. Ever since my life has changed! Losing my dad has shaped my chidhood and adulthood. I want to bring awareness to this deadly disease, therefore I decided to run the Amman International Marathon on October 22, 2010 to cure Abdel Nasser. The distance that I will run is 10KM. I will run this race for Abdel Nasser who suffers from  Leukemia too.

Every 1 KM is worth: 200JDs (282 US$)

Total pledge:  2,000JDs

Pledge ends: October 30th

Method of Payment:

1. Pay online by using credit cards at KHCF official website (check here)

2. Western Union

3. KHCF offices in Um Uthina, drop by the office and donate by mentioning the pledge “Ali Dahmash” and the  money will go to the patient’s treatment.

I have a thermometer in the main page that will indicate how many kilos I can run during the marathon according to your donations.

The more you donate the more i can run the 10k.

Help me give Abdel Nasser an opportunity to live!

About Abdel Nasser:

Abdel Nasser is 28 years old and comes from a large family, with four siblings and his parents he is used to a constant hum of activity in their house, all of which makes him feel his isolation more deeply. Abdel Nasser had to leave his family in Palestine in order to seek treatment for his leukemia in Jordan. He is receiving chemotherapy treatment but will continue to need treatment for at least another year. Abdel Nasser finds himself restless these days and anxious to complete his treatment and return to work so that his father no longer has to support the family alone. For this reason, Abdel Nasser has struggled against the exhaustion caused by his treatment and has taken a job at a local house-wares store.

Its funny though, you write this like you arent excited about the race, but I saw the look on your face this weekend, just being at a big race, and I know you have excitement in you. You cant put that fire out.
